About the Author Sherri Mandell was born in New York and graduated from Cornell University and Colorado State University, where she received an M.A. in Creative Writing. She taught writing at the University of Maryland and at Penn State before moving to Israel with her family in 1996. She is the author of Writers of the Holocaust and has written for numerous magazines and journals, including the Washington Post, the Denver Post and the Jerusalem Post. Ms. Mandell is Director of the Koby Mandell Foundation Women's Healing Retreat for Bereaved Mothers and Widows.

While especially poignant and meaningful for those who have lost loved ones in terrorist attacks, the book speaks to anyone who is facing a difficult challenge... and aren't we all? I think I will read it once a month to be inspired and help keep me on the right track in life. Thank you, Sherri, for writing such an amazing book!

In a lucid and articulate manner the author provides a guide for those who have suffered loss. This work is also highly valuable to any mental health proffesional who works with a clientele struggling with grief and loss. I found this book to be spiritually uplifting, even though it is anchored in jewish sources this work is relevant to any person struggling with issues of faith in the face of adversity.
