Within thirty minutes of getting this book, my ten-year-old son had absconded with it and within another half hour he had finger knitted a small bag. The photography is gorgeous and the projects are presented in an easy-to-follow (even for beginners) format. This is a great book for all ages and a great addition to the craft collection for beginner knitters and experts alike. Five stars.

It's a generous size, with an abundance of lovely and happy photos, tons of great explanations and information, and a terrific variety of projects. Obviously so much love went into the making of it. As an inveterate knitter with needles, I'm excited for the liberation of using just my arms and fingers and have in mind several kids who will love and benefit from learning how to do this, especially as they are intimidated by needles at this point in their lives. It looks like the thoroughness of the book will provide me with any answers I may need as well as encouragement and support. Can't wait to make the rope rug. And linen baskets. And cabled throw. And booties and crowns . . . May I please just drop everything else I have to do?

Started playing around with yarn I have lying around the house and can already see myself making a million different things with it. Love that it applies knitting to contemporary projects that feel like they came out of the pages of Kinfolk. Love this book!
