If you’ve got a mess, here’s how not to stress By Jennifer If your home is starting to resemble a war zone or you’re tired of the endless “where did I put such and such…” this book was written with you in mind. It’s easy to get caught up in the stress of day to day living and become negligent on domestic management.With the understanding that hardly any of us anticipate cleaning a whole house from top to bottom, the author breaks it down for us into a one room per day schedule; and the 10th day is going to be your reward with a day of rest and relaxation in a new, tidier environment. So it’s a win-win situation.If you are an apartment/condo dweller not all of the listed rooms may apply to you, give or take (especially the garage part) but that just means you may have five or six rooms to work on as opposed to nine. Some of us may have a living room or a dining area but not both. I for one, have a “great room” which means to me, great in size (perhaps would need 2 days, ha ha.)So if you’re ready to live and breathe a little easier, this guide will help get you started.

This book takes you through every room in the house offering practical tips on how you can get rid of the clutter and systematically put the stuff that you need, in order. Whether it is your bathroom, living room, kitchen, bedroom or even the garage or home office that you want freed up and looking better, you will find the answer here. It touches from the littlest to the biggest items in your home and you will be surprised at how much space you can get in the house when you follow this advice. What I also like about it is that it gets straight to the point so that I can get on with the business of cleaning and doing what I really want to do. After reading this book I found so many great ideas and realized that to get the job done did not have to cost me much or even take up all my time.

As a recent college graduate, I feel like I am a bit more messier than my parents’ generation, and having a methodology and a way to clean up the home certainly helped a great deal. It explores how to organize with purpose, and how to clean up various different living spaces. Definitely an eye opener for me and I find the cleaning and organizing part of the week so much easier now. Thumbs up for this one.
