Useful Info By john hughes This is totally unpolitically correct:that endears it to me just by its very existence.But the info is great ,too.A fine tutorial on a taboo subject.Those that object to it are generally reformed smokers and those busybodies that HAVE to have a cause.I'm a non-reformed smoker that quit 5 yrs. ago, but I've informed everybody ,that if I live to be 80 ,I want a carton of Marlboros and some capt. black pipe tobacco.So, if they've managed to outlaw it by then,at least ,I can start a crop when I'm 79.I know how,now.

I would appreciate a list of the tobacco varieties that David has tried because there are so many, from heirloom strains (which I'd prefer to try and imagine David grows), to commercial varieties. Also since Florida gardening tends to be different, I'd like to know which strains excel here. Also, I love to hear about failures, and the conditions that led to that outcome, since that's when we tend to learn the most. I like his books and blogs and message because they are from a Florida gardener's (and survivalist) perspective.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Definitely doing this! By Ian McLeod Tried starting some tobacco a few years ago, but I think I had bad seed. Didn't try again. But then I read this guide. Now, armed with the knowledge from David's booklet, I'm going to try again in 2016. I'm pretty excited about it!It's a short booklet, but full of great information and as always, the author is eminently entertaining. I look forward to seeing what other guides he writes and releases!
