Ms. Casper breaks down the technical, medical, and behavioral information in concise and readable manner...and it makes sense. It's one thing to say "Oh, I'll just Google it.", but having the information 'at you fingertips' when you really need it, makes this a book that should accompany every adoption and rescue...or however the companion comes into your life.

From Bedlam to what I'd always wanted in a dog By Frieda J I've been around dogs since I was a kid and always listened to the people around me on how to "make that dog behave." It worked...kind of...usually. So I figured that was it.Until we got a maniac rescue puppy. I've never given up on a pet, but I was really frustrated with Rosie. Out of control. Spastic. Destructive. I thought she was nuts. Then she started acting aggressively. Thankfully, I had met the author on Twitter. I shot her a few tweets, she shot a few back with advice, and within days I saw a dramatic improvement.So I bought the book. Rosie and I are only on Chapter three and she is a different dog. I'm sure she thinks the same of me! Our stressed relationship is exponentially better. We're having fun, communicating, (she's calm and learning commands!) and we're becoming closer than I think I've ever been to a pet before.Forget Google. Buy the book. It'll be twenty of the best bucks you ever spend in you and your pet's lives.

I happen to have a pretty easy dog...but I k ow she can learn a few new tricks with the tips that Tricia Casper teaches through some simple steps. Her love for animals is very evident and her knowledge is abounding through each page.
