By Susan D If you have never heard of tatting and you enjoy making thingsthat you would probably really enjoy tatting.I have tatted for a couple of years but I haven't spentenough time using the skills.Tatted Snowflakes has spurred me on to pick tatting up again.You would by amazed at the delicate and intricate snowflakesyou can make with tatting.I was thoroughly surprised about the different thingsyou can use to make that extra special design.Jennifer uses everything from beads to buttonsto make each project unique.Within this small book you will find a multitude of projectsthat create everything from decorations to jewelry.You might think snowflakes are just for Christmas butJennifer uses the snowflake design to create beautifulprojects that you'll want to use all year round.Each of the patterns are in written format but they alsohave a picture guide to help you through.I would recommend this book for someone who already tatsbut once you started tatting you will love the techniqueand love making the designs within this book.I received this book to review.However all opinions expressed are my own.No monies were exchanged.

Tatting is one of those crafts that is difficult to get your head around when you are learning, but once you get it down, you will LOVE the process!! It's really fun to see the patterns come together! These snowflakes look particularly great on the Christmas Tree or hanging from the ceiling over your office cubicle! I really had fun completing some of these. I haven't worked my way completely through the book...yet!

Arnholt This book has great diagrams, lists how much thread you should wind on your shuttles, counts the beads needed and gives stringing order, and has designs that are different from other snowflakes. Most of the flakes are smallish and could be completed in an evening. Ignore that "bad kindle formatting" and get the paper copy. It is worth every penny!

Complete Guide on crochet projects By Byron Zander Crochet yarns come in different categories and thickness, and er need to use the correct hook size according to the thickness of our thread or yarn. You are only allowed to use a bigger or smaller hook size if you still have tight or loose stitches. There are patterns that look gorgeous in a particular thickness of yarn, and look crappy if you use other yarn. Each ball of yarn comes with a crochet gauge that indicates the number of stitches that you need to make in a number of inches.

I love just browsing through the pictures and hoping that some day I'll be learned enough to be able to make some of the items in the book. I keep practicing the samples though and I have no intention of stoping till I master crocheting!

Improving these skills is so important in today's "Me" society.The author emphasizes the importance of being a good listener. When we think of communication, it usually has to do with speaking. However listening is probably even more important.Personally when I can tell someone is really listening, I'm impressed. Plus I usually want to get to know that person better or in other cases, am more apt to listen to his or her's offer.Chapter 2 in the book is important in a business or group sense. It's about leadership communication. The author talks about confidence and conviction in your delivery and then confirming that the other or others really understand.Chapter 3 for me is very important. It's about communication within the family. The importance of listening again. Being mindful of your tone of speech. Be thoughtful of how you are really speaking and coming across to your loved ones.The book has steps and plans to help you improve and work on your communication skills. This book will help you communicate effectively.

Jenifer If your life seems out or sorts and you're blocked energetically, GG's beautiful workbook will help you face yourself in a way that is unique and cathartic. The writing prompts can be a bit heavy, but she helps you face those places in yourself that we overlook or tuck away because sometimes it's too difficult to look at them. However, she softens the experience by providing exceptional writings in her beautiful and fragrant tone. She also punctuates the heaviness with timely quotes. One of my favorite aspects of the workbook is the breathing and meditative space in the form of beautiful mandalas for coloring! This isn't a book you work through in a weekend. It's a self-care manual that you can go to when it's time to face your own music and write the layers.

The authors share all their own flaws and weaknesses in service of helping the rest of us confront our own. This is an extraordinarily hopeful book for a reader in the throes of divorce; the authors lighten the pain with laughter and rueful self-assessment, and give clear guidance on how we each really can be our best selves in a difficult time. But even for those of us not going through divorce, the stories of how the authors work on their relationship are inspiring and revelatory. For anyone struggling in a relationship, this book would bring comfort and a fresh perspective. I'm going to gift this book to several friends. For a couple going through a divorce -- if each person had a copy of this book, they might at least have a foundation, a touch-stone for how to inflict the least damage possible. I hope many people discover this book and gift it to their divorcing friends. It could eliminate some suffering, both for the couple and for any children.

I've often told people that we're not an anomaly and now I can finally point them to this book for proof that not all divorces are train wrecks and not all stories disasters. Beautifully written with humor and grace, a must-read for anyone who has hope to keep their divorce less like a splashy tabloid and more like a restructured family.

The only reason I did not give the 5 stars was for I purchased the kindle version and wished I'd just had bought the paper format instead. The kindle version has very small illustrations and photographs of the designs that you cant seem to enlarge enough to see the details. The designs are gorgeous and I cant wait to try them out. Pricing is a little on the higher end which is why I went with the kindle version. This is a unique stitch with multiple possibilities and you wont be disappointed....just make sure to purchase the paper format and not the digital so you wont make the same mistake I did!

Page This book is about a new technique that is easy to do, beautiful, and the artist has been very creative in her designs. There is something for everyone. The instructions are clearly written and easy to follow, but the beadwork still looks special and there are simple to elaborate designs. I highly recommend it if you're looking to add to your jewelry techniques or if you're looking for inspiration.

An example of By Nicole Harvey I'll start by saying that ive only read 5 books on the subject previous to this because im fairly new to interior design Perhaps that colors my viewpoint somewhat but honestly I just devoured this and cant say ive done that with non fiction books before. Maybe to experienced interior designers some of the advice is redundant and not revolutionary but as someone who has dabbled in home renovation successfully but wants to take it to the next level- this book was well worth buying. He has a really enjoyable writing style where he comes across as far from pretentious and yet very experienced. Some of the advice he gave I had heard of but there was still a lot I picked up. A quarter of the way through reading it I went back over it to start making notes because the advice was so good. An example of a simple tip he gave was to go shopping with your phone...in other words take photos of all the elements you want to buy (furniture, decor, soft furnishings) and then put them on your mood board and play with it to ensure everything works well together before buying a thing. If something sells out before hand it wasn't meant to be. I know that sounds simple and obvious to me now but it completely changed the way I have approached things and as a result I dont get carried away buying decor that doesnt always fit and it ultimately saves money while my overall looks now appear more sophisticated. We may be at different stages of knowledge with interior design but I would think most people would enjoy this book and gain some new tips or perspective
