At the root of all creative expression is a deep, inborn and very human desire to be heard and understood. For the writers among us, the urge to communicate more clearly, more beautifully, and in new ways never really left us. With the right words, new worlds can be created, new ideas can be incubated and grown, great heights and depths can be reached. Every brilliant idea had its first home in the written or spoken word, and if you are a writer or aspire to be one, you most likely understand this power better than anything. Ask yourself this simple question: why write at all? Once you’ve managed to answer this question for yourself you’ll have found something that will be incredibly valuable to your writing career, wherever it takes you: your purpose. Tapping into the deep roots of why you are compelled to write at all is a brilliant way to unlock your true motivations and your ultimate reason for that urge to take what’s in your head and put it out there in the world. Refreshingly different By PaulH This book took me a bit by surprise because the unusual approach kept my interest all the way through to the end, in one reading!As an aspiring author my mindset about many areas of authorship have been challenged and I right away recognize what actions, and thinking, I need to endorse to become successful.There is pure content here – no sugar coating or fluffing up of information, just the raw, and sometimes brutal, truth that the reader needs to face up to, but with suggestions on how to tackle situations that writers may find themselves in.“Creative Writing – From Think To Ink” is a gold mine of knowledge for beginners such as me. For my next reading I am arming myself with a pen and notepad to jot down some of those gems of information.A very worthy five stars from me.

It's a fast read, with clear, concise, solid advice that covers a myriad of things. With ideas on how to find your voice through creative exercises to how to use your own experiences to bring life to the pages, Creative Writing - From Think to Ink is a one stop guide to START WRITING. That's the most important parts. You can learn about craft anywhere, but it's not every book that helps you get the words on the page. This book is great for new writers who don't know where to start to seasoned authors who are trying to overcome writers block through inspiration and determination. While this book is more about WRITING than CRAFT, there are some tips on craft in the mix as well. Definitely worth a read for those serious about making writing their career.

Assuring By Edward Over the past year I've been writing a fiction series and have had my ups and downs about it but this book assures that I've at least been on the right track. While it is assuring it also has provided me with some good information to implement from here on out, it is definitely a tool I'll refer to going forward with my writing works. Good Read. Good Tool. Definitely Recommend.
