From the Author On February 23, 2008, my life intersected with Abraham George's. That path-crossing has turned out to be one of those rare, once-in-a-lifetime, "Y-in-the-road" acquaintances which has affected every day of my life since. On that day, my rational mind and my belief system were jolted by the most incredible story I had ever heard, told by this Eskimo named Abraham George, from Manokotak, Alaska. He fervently proclaimed his story of having died, being taken on a journey to three celestial destinations, and then being reunited with his body. I had strong reactions to it--amazement, extreme skepticism, and strong curiosity.Due to my life-long interest in the spiritual world, I was enthralled by it and drawn into a quest to determine whether what Abraham was claiming was true. I reasoned that if Abraham's story were to be found false, then he needed to be exposed as a charlatan and fraud. If, on the other hand, his claims turned out to actually be true, I felt that due to the paramount importance of its content, the entire world needed to know about it. I felt confident, due to my prior graduate training in Apologetics, that I would definitely be able to determine the truth whatever it turned out to be. Due to my unique DNA of strong skepticism and equally strong penchant for truth, in 1975 I enrolled in and successfully completed a Master's degree in Apologetics from Harding Graduate School of Religion in Memphis, Tennessee. My purpose was to equip myself to be able to safely navigate the spirit world without being led astray. The word "Apologetics" is derived from the Greek word apologia (literally,"to give an answer"). Apologetics is a philosophical study of the laws of logic, rationality, and argumentation in order to differentiate truth from error and to be able to effectively communicate truth with others.  Throughout Chapters 9-13 in SECTION TWO--MANY POWERFUL PROOFS, the phrase "apologetic value" recurs several times and it is to be taken as referring to the relative degree of certainty and significance of that statement or claim being made. I ultimately made the decision to accept the challenge of putting Abraham and his testimony on trial. I committed myself to do whatever became necessary to follow the evidence trail wherever it led and to leave no stone unturned to discover the truth. That decision led me into an extensive and expensive research project including fact-finding travels to remote Alaskan villages to track down the key people who have been involved or impacted by this event and capture their first-hand testimonies. It involved countless phone interviews and procurement of medical records. My goal was to verify and document (whenever possible) every significant fact surrounding this event. I am truly grateful and honored to be the one privileged to write this book presenting Abraham George's awesome true story. It is my conviction that it is my obligation to share this astonishing and epic event with the world.May you enjoy and be enthralled by your journey with the Celestial Traveler. But be advised--exposing yourself to this material could significantly alter the remainder of your life-journey --as it has mine and numerous others.

From the Back Cover In this book you will be taken on a journey to places terrestrial and celestial. The terrestrial journey begins in a small Yup'ik Eskimo village in southwestern Alaska. There you'll meet Abraham "Ipli" George, a rough-cut Eskimo who for 20 years held the notorious reputation of being the "town drunk." In 2005, while on a routine wood-gathering trip on his snowmobile, Ipli had a fatal accident. Then while being medevacked to an Anchorage hospital, he was stunned when he realized that the lifeless body which the four EMT's were scrambling to revive was HIS! Suddenly a dazzling unearthly being, brighter than the sun, materialized before his eyes. At that moment Abraham was instantly transported by the celestial being on an astonishing journey to three celestial destinations: heaven, outer darkness and hell. You will hear Abraham's extraordinary report of what he saw, heard, smelled and felt on his incredible journey. He returned to his body radically transformed, bearing a vital heavenly message to impart to mankind and possessing supernatural powers to confirm it!

Not only to help sell books but to help me personally in my quest to become a true Christian. On recent hunting trips the past couple years I had the benefit of hearing bits and pieces about Abraham and his journey. Hearing these stories as I called them made me very skeptical about Abraham. If I remember correctly the author said the same thing and his skepticism was the catalyst to research Abrahams story. The book is a very easy read and one that hooks you to the point you read it cover to cover without putting it down. Friends ask me what I thought and do I believe what Abraham had to say. Being a struggling Christian my reply is simply this. Abraham has been telling this story for years with consistency and passion. I'm sorry but the man that Abraham was before his accident and his supposed celestial travel he has had way too much time to go back to his old lifestyle of drinking , drugs and womanizing. That would be so easy and I think what a lot of people would fall back on in a few short years. Do not quote me on this but Abraham has been preaching his word for well over 5 years. Because of my belief that if this story has continued on so long Abraham is telling the truth and with Gods help he has the energy and the soberness to continue telling his story throughout Alaska and with Glenn Hermanns investigation into Abrahams testimony and the thorough research he put into writing Celestial Traveler I am a true believer in Abrahams confession and his travels. I am confident when the word gets out and more people read the book Abraham will be doing much more travel! Around The World. Thank You Glenn your book has made my struggles to become a true Christian much easier!

When I picked up Celestial Traveler by Glenn Hermann, I was somewhat skeptical., but story was easy to read while getting me really involved. I became completely convinced the story was true when I read about the angels speaking to Abraham in his Yup'ik language (a difficult language I had heard many times while living in the Alaska Bush.) I am so happy this man's life was complete changed and God is using him to spread the "Good News!"
