An Essential Read By Kate We all go through the hallway, some of us multiple times, The hallway is that place we find ourselves in during periods of transition, when life is pushing us from one room of life experience into another.The push may be initiated by a death, a divorce, a job loss, or any number of other causes, but no matter what vehicle delivers us there, time in the hallway almost always feels like Hell. Coupling nuggets of wisdom gleaned from personal experience (her own and others) with sound spiritual principles, author and Unity minister Ellen Debenport does a masterful job of guiding her readers through the hall and into the light found waiting beyond the door at its end. Having spent a good bit of time in the hallway in recent months, the wisdom found within the pages of this book touched me to the core. Personally, I think it is a book everyone should read, because whether we like it or not, we are all going to end up in the hallway at some point in our lives. Having a good guidebook helps. Debenport provides one.

Ellen Debenport's book is a masterpiece of it's kind - witty, practical and spiritual all in one place. We've all been in the Hallway at some time in our life (or many times in some cases) and this book offers some wonderful advice on how to make the most of that time.One feels as though one is having a fireside conversation with a very wise and spiritual person and you will take away many wonderful nuggets of wisdom.Barbara G. I bought four copies, kept one and gave the others to dear ones who could use the inspiration it offers. I actually copied p. 111, framed it and placed it on my desk to uplift my spirits. People everywhere find themselves in "hallway" experiences--life has changed in some dramatic way, and waiting in the hallway for a new door to open can feel like being in "hell." Hallway experiences happen to all of us myriad times throughout our lives. But there IS light at the door, and the inspiring stories of folks who have "been there" offer hope to us all that our lives can be transformed even through, and possibly by the most dire of life circumstances. I highly recommend this wonderful book and suggest purchasing additional copies for those you care about who may be facing challenges in their own lives.
