Jenifer If your life seems out or sorts and you're blocked energetically, GG's beautiful workbook will help you face yourself in a way that is unique and cathartic. The writing prompts can be a bit heavy, but she helps you face those places in yourself that we overlook or tuck away because sometimes it's too difficult to look at them. However, she softens the experience by providing exceptional writings in her beautiful and fragrant tone. She also punctuates the heaviness with timely quotes. One of my favorite aspects of the workbook is the breathing and meditative space in the form of beautiful mandalas for coloring! This isn't a book you work through in a weekend. It's a self-care manual that you can go to when it's time to face your own music and write the layers.

The authors share all their own flaws and weaknesses in service of helping the rest of us confront our own. This is an extraordinarily hopeful book for a reader in the throes of divorce; the authors lighten the pain with laughter and rueful self-assessment, and give clear guidance on how we each really can be our best selves in a difficult time. But even for those of us not going through divorce, the stories of how the authors work on their relationship are inspiring and revelatory. For anyone struggling in a relationship, this book would bring comfort and a fresh perspective. I'm going to gift this book to several friends. For a couple going through a divorce -- if each person had a copy of this book, they might at least have a foundation, a touch-stone for how to inflict the least damage possible. I hope many people discover this book and gift it to their divorcing friends. It could eliminate some suffering, both for the couple and for any children.

I've often told people that we're not an anomaly and now I can finally point them to this book for proof that not all divorces are train wrecks and not all stories disasters. Beautifully written with humor and grace, a must-read for anyone who has hope to keep their divorce less like a splashy tabloid and more like a restructured family.

The only reason I did not give the 5 stars was for I purchased the kindle version and wished I'd just had bought the paper format instead. The kindle version has very small illustrations and photographs of the designs that you cant seem to enlarge enough to see the details. The designs are gorgeous and I cant wait to try them out. Pricing is a little on the higher end which is why I went with the kindle version. This is a unique stitch with multiple possibilities and you wont be disappointed....just make sure to purchase the paper format and not the digital so you wont make the same mistake I did!

Page This book is about a new technique that is easy to do, beautiful, and the artist has been very creative in her designs. There is something for everyone. The instructions are clearly written and easy to follow, but the beadwork still looks special and there are simple to elaborate designs. I highly recommend it if you're looking to add to your jewelry techniques or if you're looking for inspiration.

An example of By Nicole Harvey I'll start by saying that ive only read 5 books on the subject previous to this because im fairly new to interior design Perhaps that colors my viewpoint somewhat but honestly I just devoured this and cant say ive done that with non fiction books before. Maybe to experienced interior designers some of the advice is redundant and not revolutionary but as someone who has dabbled in home renovation successfully but wants to take it to the next level- this book was well worth buying. He has a really enjoyable writing style where he comes across as far from pretentious and yet very experienced. Some of the advice he gave I had heard of but there was still a lot I picked up. A quarter of the way through reading it I went back over it to start making notes because the advice was so good. An example of a simple tip he gave was to go shopping with your phone...in other words take photos of all the elements you want to buy (furniture, decor, soft furnishings) and then put them on your mood board and play with it to ensure everything works well together before buying a thing. If something sells out before hand it wasn't meant to be. I know that sounds simple and obvious to me now but it completely changed the way I have approached things and as a result I dont get carried away buying decor that doesnt always fit and it ultimately saves money while my overall looks now appear more sophisticated. We may be at different stages of knowledge with interior design but I would think most people would enjoy this book and gain some new tips or perspective

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. You must pay for her instructions By Pnord I got this book as solar water distillation was something I had never heard of. I had plans to make a solar distiller after reading the book. I am not the type of person that can construct something by looking at photos of it with a list of what was used, especially when the wood the glass sits on has to be cut on an angle for correct drainage. If you need step by step instructions with measurements, she has the information, but requires that you purchase it. The book is written by a cultural anthropologist that has done a lot of work with solar in poor areas near the border of the US and Mexico. She admits that the book goes off on a tangent about the colonias where she worked. Many photos and information about the area. You have to read most of the book before she starts talking about the construction of stills. She has a large amount of information on what supplies to use to construct it safely, including the correct type of silicone caulk to use. The silicone comes in contact with the water so it has to be safe. It can be purchased on Amazon. She says not to use PVC pipe, but CPVc and explains why. I learned about constructing stills safely, but would be unable to construct one from the information in this book. I learned enough by reading this book to know it is an area I want to learn more about. I would recommend this book to anyone planning on building a solar water distiller so you can learn about the safe way to do it.

Many of the facts are simply opinions - anecdotal at best - such as the "fact" that bottled distilled water is acidic! The "fact" that plastic bottles contaminate water. The fact that shaking a bottle of water will "oxygenate it" (air is principally nitrogen). "Some people believe that..." No links to evidential proof are provided.

A must have By Xilene A great book in wich it shows that most people aren’t successful because they fail to follow a daily routine, a routine he lays out for us so that our mornings become not so much a task as just something we do. A great routine that he has develop over the years but that if we put ion practice we would have more productive days and happier and healthier mornings. Some of the things in his ritual is going to the gym also first thing, whih he later modified, reading, writing in his journal, avoiding coffee early drinking water instead, getting enough sleep. This is a great book for everyone that wants to change the way they have been doing things in life and be able to become a more productive and happier person!

Some good ideas worth reading about By Donna J Williams Although I enjoyed reading this book and find most of the author's ideas worthy of consideration, his lifestyle does not really compare to that of the majority of the working class. However, having said that and after taking note of both the way newly developing job functions and education are headed, it is quite possible this may very well be the future of the children being born today. It's not necessarily one that I, a 70_year-old retired grandmother, would have chosen for myself. Although I did garner a few ideas on how to make the final years of my life more productive but, unfortunately, not more financially satisfying, I would recommend it for anyone just entering the workforce. Those people, judging by today's educational standards, would probably benefit from some common sense ideas presented, while not even noticing the lack of grammatical accuracy. My personal perspective is that people who hope to profit from writing should know how to do it or have access to a good proofreader.

7 of 9 people found the following review helpful. Brainstorming with yourself By Denniger Bolton I learned a lot from this book about the personal experiences of Mike Fishbein, the author. It’s written for all of us who are spending their days or at least their mornings in a trance. The book is transformative to say the least. Mike has had the same troubles we all have and admits to not yet being perfect, but at least quite a bit better. He states in the book that most people aren’t successful because they fail to follow a daily routine, a routine he lays out for us so that our mornings become not so much a task as just something we do. He also says that this is his routine which he has modified over the years but that we should come up with our own morning routines to be more productive, happier and healthier in our own morning rituals. Some of the things in his ritual is going to the gym also first thing, whih he later modified, reading, writing in his journal, avoiding coffee early drinking water instead, getting enough sleep and something I was really impressed with and am adding to my routine is to write down 10 ideas every morning. He even has a separate chapter later in the book about these 10 ideas and how writing them down every morning has benefits him, because for one, the ideas are really valuable. So, if you have 10 idea per day x 365 it gives you 3650 idea per year. By coming up with more ideas, he says. it increase his chances of have good ideas and more ideas will come as the day progresses. He also explains how to come up with ideas like for instance take one of your long term goals you haven’t had a chance to focus on and look at 10 ways you can take action on the goal and even 10 ways you can help another person to improve his life or business. Well written book that is practical and motivational.

This book makes you feel like you are sitting at your best friend's kitchen table with a cup of Hot Cocoa on a cold day. Liane Kupferberg Carter is a gifted writer and autism advocate that chronicles the challenges and triumphs of raising her children with grace, humor and love. This book is MUST-READ for anyone who loves an autistic child but also for anyone who has ever faced any type of parenting challenge. Like a "Rocky" movie, this book had me crying and laughing and rooting for the whole Carter family. Absolutely recommend it ... I just loved it!

A wonderful memoir - I couldn't put it down, and didn't want it to end By Amazon Customer This is an extremely engaging, well-written, heartfelt memoir. Carter expertly weaves remembrances from earlier days in with her story of raising her son, and shares the joys, fears, and hopes of parenting a child with autism with honesty, respect and love. She shares the despair of dealing with a school system that, at times seems bent on providing no appropriate services, and the thrill of seeing her son succeed in tasks she had been told he never would. Carter neither shrinks from the uncomfortable realities of life, nor allows them to be an excuse to embarrass her child or throw herself a pity party. This is a memoir that allows the reader to have a view of someone's life, without feeling like a voyeur. Well done!

The little book was written solely as a way to provide solace for someone who has lost their dog. It's a reminder that even though a beloved pet might no longer be physically alive, they are always around in spirit. I gave a copy of this book to a friend who had recently lost her dog and she was quite grateful.

My plans are to order the other titles also for gifts as well as my own use. They are so beautifully done, stunning images! My first time spent coloring these pages was true serenity and relaxation, and even more fun than coloring in my grand children's coloring books!

The first and only books out of over a dozen in which I want to color every single page! Large pictures for easy coloring as well as pictures with intricate details for people that want more of a challenge. I recommend this book to anyone that loves coloring!

It is very natural and has a spiritual lean to it without being preachy. I hope she comes out with more books.

I have a Siberian Husky and plan on following some of the recipes/instructions I found in here for food, dog treats, dental care remedies, and flea/tick repellent. Yes, it may take a little more effort than simply buying the pre-made stuff, but ultimately this type of approach is SO much healthier for your pet (not to mention the money you save). Thanks for creating such an informative guide (and at such a low price too). 5 stars - a must buy for anyone who cares about their canine or feline!

I love the sweet drawings of the doggies wearing flowers, it's so adorable. I like the fact that may of the drawings are abstract and one must take a minute to figure out the type of drawing, which I can bring to life by adding bright colors mixed with neutrals. Plus, it also has some more detailed drawings too. It's a great mix. I would recommend. :)

There are complex designs as well as less complicated designs.. you could even add your own patterns and details to those less complicated ones if you are an experienced colorer. I will share this book with my daughter who adores puppies!! I wish there were more Chihuahua's in it.. but that's only because we have two of them. ;) I'd buy it again!

The pictures range in difficulty from simple to complex and the images are a nice mix of abstract to realistic looking dogs. Many of the pictures have flowers and other deigns in them for added difficulty and to give the colourer inspiration. This is definitely a book worth adding to your collection!
