About the Author Cas Holmes is one of the UK's most renowned textile artists. She exhibits widely and runs courses at West Dean College. She is the author of The Found Object in Textile Art and Connected Cloth (both Batsford), has written for magazines including The Quilter, and contributed to Workshop on the Web. Cas lives in Maidstone, Kent.

29 of 30 people found the following review helpful. Beautiful, gorgeous, wonderful By Ellen Glenn I've been eagerly waiting for this book to appear in my letterbox. It was delivered this morning and from the minute I touched it, I knew it was special. It's more than a book, it's really an art journal. The cover is a beautiful soft fabric, very velvet like and printed with the most beautiful scenes, which are detailed further in the book. The information is detailed, the pictures are stunning, the stories are interesting, the artists who have contributed to this book are generous with their descriptions of their work. I have only just begun with this book and I will devour it in due course. If I ever get the chance to do a Cas Holmes workshop, I'll do whatever it takes to participate. Her work in standout and so meaningful.

The use of textiles, paper, found objects, printing is diverse & inspires other ways to interpret your own artistic expression. Texture from various methods of stitch & materials. Enjoyable for developing & experienced textile/collage artists.
24 of 26 people found the following review helpful. a must have By Kindle Customer just got this book, and raced through it because it is so compelling. the cover is a beautiful soft fabric, the photos are excellent, and the balance of photo to text is good, heavy on images. while all approaches presented don't appeal to me, all are very creative and well executed. i'm inspired, and impressed. I have become dependent on my kindle app for almost everything, but this book has shown me the value of hard copy. am going to check out more of her books!
