There is an opportunity to color a dog, a parrot, a vintage photo, a garden globe, a cat, a pig, a bouquet of flowers, and many more interesting and intricate objects and vintage designs. Not just for crayons anymore; you could use colored pencils, chalks, or markers to enhance these hand-drawn original picture. You will find SUPER CUTE animal designs, beautifully designed mandalas with HUGE 3D potential, amazing flower arrangements and two awesome vintage illustrations that will certainly calm your heart.Most important things about the book are:- All illustrations high-res top quality.- Paper is thick enough, but markers may bleed to the other page. So it's better to tear the page before coloring or just put another blank page between the draws.- I have NEVER seen such beautiful animals. The book is worth by the animals designs alone. But hey, you can't go wrong with his Mandalas and Floral Arrangements. All Awesome!I noticed the author created an SLIDEPREVIEW for the book. I've attached the video to this review. It may help you decide if the book is worth buying (IT IS!).The book has been given to me for free for a fair review.

By Plegg Very good to find a book with a variety of drawings that are not the same cookie cutter images being seen everywhere. I can see from the illustrations that careful thought was given to each one. A particular favorite is the lion who has a door and heart shaped key worked into the face, and yet it doesn't seem to be out of place or detract from the lion's beauty. This and the other wonderful, imaginative images will ascertain that I will look for more books from the artist. Some images are more simple than others, but it will still appeal to adults who don't always want a book of complex and intricate details. The only deterrent is the weight of the pages, and they are not easily removed if you wish to frame. Hoping that in the future publishers will consider heavier weight paper, not only for this book but others also, and perhaps spiral bound or perforated edges. I know that this would increase the cost, but I would be willing to pay more for a better quality of book.

There are a few interesting points, too: I actually hadn't thought about the benefits of crocheting that Margaret outlines (motor skills, concentration, etc.) but it makes quite a bit of sense.The overviews of the stitches is helpful, but a few more photos would definitely be helpful.The chapter on common problems helped me work through a few issues that have plagued me for a while, so that chapter alone makes it worth the read!

First of all, it is a large book, full of information and a ton of beautifully descriptive color photos. It is well-written and reads clearly. It contains helpful, common sense advice, and the color photos further aid in the descriptions.It includes information on the dangers of gardening with toxic chemicals, and why organic gardening is more effective and better all around. It also goes into the environmental influence of toxins, that you may not have thought about. The author explains gardening terms clearly, in case you are not fully familiar with them. It even contains important guidelines for using pH to your advantage, as well as a collection of homemade product recipes.From working at a plant nursery in the past, I recognize a good deal of the advice in this book to be true and well-agreed upon. The author obviously has the personal experience, as well as generations of family experience, to back up the information in this book. I personally, still have a lot to learn in order to be a successful gardener. I always seem to kill my plants; all but my hearty jade and spider plants. I will be using this book in order to create a lush, healthy, fruitful garden.Great Work Margaret!

Every detail is carefully written to take the guess work out of crating the perfect organic garden that fits your needs. My favorite section by far is the section on what to plant. Popular choices in a garden ( various herbs veggies such as beans, cabbages, and even some dual purpose flowers) are carefully outline. The section takes care to be specific about what plants haould be planted with or near what other plants as well as the types of pest the plant aids in repelling. This guide is comprehensive and covers all bases of a healthy pesticide fee garden whether it is for recreational use or something more. Even if you aren't starting an organic garden complete with compost, this book is great if for no other reason then while choosing which plants to add to your garden for their various uses. Loved this guide! I've already recommended it to a few of my friends who are avid gardeners and now I'm recommending it to you!

By Alexis Guerrero This book goes in depth about organic gardens, from dealing with pests to the optimization of your garden this book will tell you everything you need to know about starting your own organic garden. Before reading this book my impression of starting an organic garden seemed like a full time job, well now I know it doesn't have to be (as long as you're prepared). This book makes it a lot easier to get started and prepares you to make everything right the first time. Although gardening is no cake walk this book allows you to be creative by showing you the immense amount of possibilities and rewards of organic gardens. I'm certainly glad I chose this book as it did not miss a detail and was always comprehensible.

To find that the projects are, each and every one, this diverse and lovely demands the reader's attention.You will be delighted to discover that your favorite designers are represented here. I noted Lori Anderson, Candie Cooper, Fernando DaSilva, Loreli Eurto, Denise Yesbak Moore, Irina Meich and many more in the pantheon of great contributors to this book.In fact, there are forty seven contributors by my count. You will be familiar with all of them and will love the diversity of styles they offer!This marvelous showcase of easy-to-follow projects employs crystals, glass, metal, gemstones and much more.Fast & Easy Earrings delivers tons of incentive to beginners, yet the designs are sophisticated enough for any designer. The list of contributors and how to contact each of them is at the end of the book.As I looked through "Crystals", I couldn't help but flip for the "Diamond Drops" designed by Karen Karon. These creations made using are faceted clear crystals and silver sparkle and fascinate. They open this section with a burst of beauty. Using very few materials, Ms. Karon designs an artful and modern earring you will jump to try yourself.In the "Glass" section, I fell immediately for Kristina Henning's design, "Pretty Palettes", a luscious concoction of clustered green beads accenting a larger crystal briolette. The design alternative for this project is featured on the cover of the book. It is a smashing and simple wrapped drop with a few tiny beads in the wrap. It would look stylish on anyone, any time, any place.Moving on to "Metal and Wire", I was intrigued and inspired by Naomi Fujimoto's project, "Quick Chain Mail". Using colored enameled rings to make chain mail earrings in a diamond shape makes these classically pretty. The option of changing the colored rings from blues, lavenders and silver to greens, yellows and gold is very appealing. It looks just as nice either way you try it!In "Stones", the "Ruby Dangles" juxtapose circular shapes with delicate and swingy red beads. This dressy design by Jenny Van is so feminine and delightful, it is irresistible! You can't not have a ball making these earrings and then showing them off!Ah, "Pearls"! Who doesn't adore them? You will find a wealth of different styles here. One I found to be especially unique was "Pearl Starburst" by Glenda Paunonen. This design, which uses freshwater pearls on sleek stems of silver and coiled silver wire is the ultimate in chic.When you get to "Mixed Media", you are going to have a ball trying "String Art" by Ariet Soldevilla. What fun insight this designer has into art! It is expressed through both of her choices of stringed jewelry shapes which you can make and wear.One of the pairs of earrings has been made using bangle bracelets as the base for the string. It is terrifically innovative.I found so much to think about as I looked through this collection of one hundred projects. I found even more that I am looking forward to making. You will too when you open your copy of Fast & Easy Earrings, 100+ Projects, to any page in this fabulous book. It is a must have for any jewelry lover who enjoys making her own jewelry! The book includes an introduction of basic materials, techniques, tools, crystals, glass, metal and wire, stones, pearls and mixed materials.I could never mention all the fantastic jewelry designers who contributed to this collection, but rest assured each has provided a bountiful source of inspiration. The step-by-step instructions and beautiful color photos make construction easy, and the finished products are stunning. Each entry has inspired and led me to try new techniques, with outstanding results. The book is designed for both novice and expert alike. I made a quick little video so you can take a peek at all of the fabulous detail and linework. There is so much variety in this book, folky birds, matryoshka dolls, gorgeous florals, wreaths, and mandalas. Two thumbs up and 5 stars for this gem!

There's a nice variety of designs...some very intricate and detailed, and some easier. All are lovely, and would make beautiful framed art once colored. I also like that only the fronts of the pages are printed, so no worry about bleed through.

A fantastic guide to feng shui By theamazonian I knew a little about feng shui when I bought this book, but now I am thrilled to know so much more about it. I have just bought a new house and will use these guidelines to make sure that chi is able to flow freely through my home. The book goes into great detail about what direction each room should face in a house and where the major furniture items and appliances should be placed. It's an amazing overview of what you should do to make your home feel right and comply with feng shui principles.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. waging tails By G.I.Forbes This is an unusual book from an author who proposes to teach a dog to speak by sign language.The alphabet is indicated buy parts of the body eg. ears,eyes, head etc.while phrases are demonstrated by body movements such as crouching.and watching.Whether this is practical or just whimsy take your pick but the illustrations are first class.For me having a dog is common sense and giving him 3 things- food and water,cuddles and exercise and he lived for 21 years without talking.

The big time farmers, the ones that once were able to sustain large farms and take care of their entire family are having trouble making ends meet.

Part of the reason for that is mini farming but most of it is the lack of business available in larger markets. Major farmers are trying to compete with other major farmers for markets like grocery stores and that’s a really difficult market to break into. If you start mini farming however, the only people you’re going to be competing against are the other local farmers in your area. What you’ll usually find is that there’s plenty of people looking for locally grown products and not quite enough people who are selling them. So this can actually be a pretty profitable niche for you.

Totally Useless Book; Waste of Money By Tabloid Hack Waste of Money!The $3 I paid for the Kindle edition of this book was a waste of money, and reading it was a waste of time. I am angry that I wasted money on this useless book. This book is very short and contains no useful information. One of the tips is to find out what your customers like. Oh really?! I had no idea I should do that! There is no practical advice contained in this book. The author asserts that you can grow enough food on one acre to feed your entire family and some neighbors, but there are no instructions on how to do so. Samantha also offers this advice: plant your crops in rows! Wow, Samantha, great advice! I had NO IDEA I was supposed to plant my crops in rows! And label them so I know what's what? Great advice! I'm being sarcastic. Also, you won't necessarily save money growing your own food, once you calculate all the materials you need. It's cheaper to buy produce in the grocery store, even if you're buying organic. This book contains no advice about specialty crops, which actually are a good way to make money growing plants. There's a short (all the sections are super short) section called "Make it and Market Organic", which doesn't even mention the fact that farmers, even mini-farmers, have to go through a LOT of hoops to call their food organic. The USDA will have problems with you labeling your goods organic if you are not certified. The person who wrote this book, Samantha Cole, is obviously out to make a quick buck, and obviously does not know enough about farming or gardening to write anything about the subject. Don't waste your money like I did. Samantha Cole, I want my money back! Seriously, this book sucks.

I own five different scrapbooking idea books, and I LOVE THEM!! You can't go wrong (with any of them). There are so many creative and unique layout designs, embellishment and journaling ideas, and the page titles. Moreover, you can really use all of the ideas in their books, and add your personal touch to make a page truly your own. For all who scrap on a budget (like me), there are TONS, and I mean TONS, of ideas to put all of your odds and ends to good use!! This book and all of the other scrapbooking books out there, have really taken my creativity in scrapbooking to the next level.Overall, this is a treasure chest of scrapbooking layout ideas. You can't put this book down without having an idea or two for your next creation.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. As easy as it could be to build a boat. By sba55 I'll say this as plainly as I can. This is a great book.I have looked at lots of books about building a first boat and most of them lay out some fairly complicated procedures. As Mr. Jones mentions with some boat plans you'll spend as much on frames and stands etc as you will on the actual boat. With his method you get the basic info you need to build a presentable first boat for what should be a very small cost. There are no detailed plans, no lofting, no complicated procedures. I really think anyone who has a few common tools could use this book to build a boat. You can get almost all the material from your local lumber or big box store. Of course you need to want to build a flatiron skiff but that is a good starter boat.Kudos to Mr. Jones for keeping it simple.

I am an amateur woodworker who has never built anything with a curve in it. I am also an avid canoe/kayak river paddler who has always wanted to learn to sail the nearby Ohio River. I have begun building this skiff as a first sailboat and am enjoying the building process as clearly shown in the book. If I later decide to build a larger more complicated sailing boat I may buy plans and more detailed books or attend one of the many fine boatbuilding schools. But this book and this boat are the perfect first step, and very economical.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great book and clear directions By Bruce Tracey Great book and clear directions. A nice alternative to stitch and glue and less fussy then a lot of complex jig related techniques. I will actually build a boat as outlined in this book.
